Lodge Guest Directory

Welcome to Apple Tree Lodges

Thank you for choosing to stay at Apple Tree Lodges. We have created a suite of information about the lodge and resort facilities, detailing equipment instructions and a list of things to see and do whilst you’re staying with us.

If you require any assistance or service which is not listed, please do not hesitate to contact the Resort Guest Services Team by dialling 800 from your lodge.

In the event that you require medical assistance, please notify Guest Services. If you contact medical services directly, please also notify Guest Services so that we may assist the medical services in reaching you in a timely manner. For minor first aid requirements, there is a first aid provision in the cleaning and recycling cupboard, located inside the entrance lobby.

Should you require emergency medical assistance, please contact Guest Services on 800. Alternatively, please dial 9, then 999 directly from your lodge, and please let Guest Services know of your actions so they can assist where necessary. For non-urgent medical assistance, please telephone the NHS 111 service by dialling 1, then 111 or visit 111.nhs.uk.

Emergency Exits

Emergency exits are located on each floor as signposted.  In the event of an emergency, please check the fire information notice on the back of your bedroom door for your nearest fire exit.

Fire and Safety

Please read the following emergency procedure information.

In the event of a fire in your lodge, please sound the alarm using the break box in the entrance lobby and immediately leave the lodge. There is a Fire Assembly Point clearly marked in the lodge grounds where you should assemble until assistance arrives. Adjacent to the entrance door there is an evacuation plan with clear directions.

Should you have cause to suspect a fire in any part of the resort please notify Guest Services by dialling 800. Should the fire alarm ring continuously, follow the fire exit signs and vacate the building immediately.

Guests with restricted mobility or with impaired hearing must inform Guest Services about this upon check-in so that provisions can be made for their welfare.

Please note that Check-In is from 4:00pm and Check-Out is at 10:00am.  This is necessary in order to allow us time to prepare the lodges for new arrivals.  Late Check-Out may be possible subject to availability and is charged at £20 per hour, per apartment.

The code to open the gate on the driveway to the lodges beside Keepers Lane is 2204.

Upon Check-In you will be issued with two sets of keys. Each set includes a key to both the external and internal door to your lodge and an alarm fob.  Should you misplace your keys, please contact Resort Guest Services immediately. There is a £50 charge for a lost set of keys.

The key fob activates and deactivates the lodge alarm. Please see the next section for alarm operating instructions.

An alarm has been installed for your personal security. To set the alarm, swipe the key fob against the alarm control panel located inside the entrance door. The system will ask “Would you like to set the alarm?” and you will need to swipe the key fob a second time to activate the alarm. You will have 20 seconds to leave the lodge, closing the door behind you. During this time the alarm will make a beeping sound and stop.

To unset the alarm on entry to the lodge, swipe the key fob against the alarm control panel, and the alarm will unset.  For your personal security, the alarm system is monitored by the Resort Guest Services Team.

One parking space is provided per lodge. There are additional parking spaces in our overflow car park on the lodges’ site next to Plough Lane. In order to maintain tranquillity around the lodges, guests are encouraged to use the main SbN Resort car park for any extra vehicles.

The main SbN Resort car park is a 10-minute walk from the lodges. For your own safety, it is essential that you use the main vehicular road and not the golf course paths to walk to the Resort.

If you like the idea of cooking for yourselves during your stay, here are some instructions for your lodge cooking appliances.

To operate the oven/hob you will need to press the timer switch on the wall by the appliance – this will power the appliance for 4 hours.

To use the oven, you will need to set the clock on the oven before the oven will work. To do this, press the 2 buttons on the left and this will allow the clock to be set. Then press the far right button. For detailed instructions, please refer to the operating manual.

To activate the induction hob, the pan will need to be placed on the ring for it to heat. Please avoid touching the ring during use with your hand as the surface can get very hot. Please note that there is a P setting on the hob which means extra power and will heat the pan extremely quickly.  Please note it is therefore very important that you do not leave the hob unattended when using the P setting as it could burn the food or damage the saucepan if left to boil dry!

Transport can be arranged with our Night Security team back to your lodge from the Resort after 7pm. When at the hotel, please go to the Resort Guest Services desk and the shuttle will be arranged for you. The shuttle vehicle has ISOfix should you wish to use a child’s car seat.

To arrange transport, please call Guest Services on 800.

We are currently unable to store luggage prior to your check-in time. Please could we kindly request that these remain in your car until check-in.

As a guest of Apple Tree Lodges, you may charge all purchases made throughout the Resort back to your lodge account. Should you wish to receive a statement at any time, please ask our Resort Guest Services Team to provide this. These charges are payable at check-out when you drop in your keys.

In each master bedroom, there is a lodge safe for your valuables. There are user instructions on the inside of the safe door. For assistance, please contact Resort Guest Services on 800.

Entry and exit from the resort is controlled via a security barrier which is operated with a 4-digit pin code, which is 2204. Security staff are on duty and regularly patrol the resort. If, however, you have any concerns or emergencies, please contact Resort Guest Services on 800.

Please can guests respect the tranquillity of the location and show consideration for others when using their audio systems or when returning to your lodges late at night.

The greenkeeping team is out and about early each morning preparing the golf course to keep it pristine and may make some noise. We apologise for any inconvenience caused and recommend keeping your bedroom windows closed if you are looking to have a lie-in.

Peake Spa, at Stoke by Nayland Resort, is welcoming Apple Tree Lodge guests 7 days a week to the Free Swim sessions before 10:00am and after 6:00pm. Guests can also book one 2-hour session per night of their stay, complete with a reserved lounger, robe, and towels, for £20 per person. Please call our Resort Reservations Team on 01206 262836 to book your session.

Please view our pool-policy here for information on the use of the pool, poolside lounger policy, and restricted children’s swimming times.

UK legislation dictates that all enclosed spaces are non-smoking. We therefore remind you that smoking inside the lodges is not permitted. Smoking is permitted on the lodge terraces and we respectfully remind guests to use the ashtrays provided and to be considerate of guests around them. Guests who fail to adhere to this will be charged a £200 per lodge cleaning fee.

AONB and the Countryside

We are very proud of our beautiful surroundings and, as farmers and landowners, strive to be responsible custodians of the countryside. We therefore also ask our guests to please respect this environment by ensuring that they refrain from dropping litter, and leave this wonderful area as they would wish to find it.

Walking in the Grounds

We would encourage all guests to make the most of our beautiful surroundings by enjoying some of the lovely local walks. Walking guides are available at the Resort and via Guest Services for your convenience showing routes for several excellent walks.

We would like to remind guests that the lodges are situated adjacent to a golf course and that for safety reasons you should only use the paths marked on the walking guide, and not venture onto the golf course where you could be hit by a golf ball. When walking to and from the main Resort complex, please use the lodge vehicle road only. If you wish to walk after dark, please use the rechargeable torch provided in your lodge.

Please check our Things to See and Do area for a variety of local walking and cycling routes.

Coarse fishing is available to guests on one of the Hotel’s lakes. Please enquire at Resort Guest Services on 800 to purchase a day pass for fishing.

As the lodges are located within the golf course area, guests are asked to kindly observe golf etiquette when traveling through and around the golf course. Please can you stop the car, or stand still and refrain from making any noise when close to a golfer who is about to hit their shot.

As Apple Tree Lodges and SbN Resort are in use throughout the year, it is inevitable that some maintenance work could be underway during your stay. We, therefore, ask for your patience and understanding in the event that routine maintenance is being carried out to maintain and improve the quality of the Lodges and Resort for all our guests.

Should you discover anything that requires our attention, please notify Resort Guest Services by dialing 800.
